Day 26 of the Blogging Challenge

Hey! So today is the 4th last day of the 30 day blogging challenge. I can't exactly describe it but I'm happy that I'm nearly finishing it but at the same time... Well, I'm just happy. I didn't really know what I wanted to write about today. Normally my back up would be to go to the Would You Rather questions but I came upon something better.
I write to myself to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I'm afraid of.  -- Joss Whedon
I guess that quote or saying or phrase (whatever you want to call it) basically sums up all the reasons why I write and blog. To me writing is an escape. Reading and/or writing lets me be a character that I am not. Maybe we are the same age but we aren't the same. We get to look at the world through a different person's eye. We get to see the future, the past and the present. Look through the world through the eyes of the brave, willing, courageous, caring, loving, independent and inspiring but they all have flaws like the rest of the human population. No one is perfect and characters emphasize that. No matter how much you idolize a character, you need to realize that these characters were inspired by someone. Maybe the author met someone. A friend, family member or even a stranger. But something had to inspire that character to be blossomed out into this story. I'm sure that if you were to count the many amounts of characters, you could find that they relate to someone in your school, work place or even just walking around. No one should say that I'm not Tris from Divergent. Ok, you're not Tris but you might be brave, caring, loving and at times selfless. No you aren't fully Tris but you are somewhat like her.

Replace the word write to read for that whole phrase. It still makes since.
I read to myself to give myself strength. I read to be the characters that I am not. I read to explore all the things I'm afraid of.
This is a whole new message. Or is it? If you write, someone is bound to read and this is why books and stories are a vital part to our human race. Stories and books give me strength. Strength to see others and keep and open mind. A small part of us lives in each of the characters you will read. This is why books with characters that you can relate are so popular. Explore with your words and write them down for the world to see. :)
